WHAT IS HIRONAMA?

If you’re new to this whole Japanese cartoons world, simply imagine that we are just like your ComicCon fest, but focused on toons produced by Japanese.

All in all, Hironama is an annual show, that attracts thousands of anime & manga lovers from across the US and the world.

Featuring multiple events, Q&A sessions and cosplay contests, we also have numerous Japanese TV artists and producers join us for a bit of fun!

DID YOU KNOW…?

Anime is, in fact, an abbreviated pronunciation of Animation in Japan. It began in 1917 by Japanese artists : Shimokawa Oten, Jun’ichi Kouchi and Seitaro Kitayama.

Anime is not synonymous with “cartoon” despite the popular belief held by the “Uneducated” masses. Anime is considered to be an art form by those who appreciate it. A wide range of audiences is targeted with complicated, in depth and emotional storylines.
